pod_o_ween

Pod_O_Ween is an informal podfic event for the Spooky Season! Crafted out of a true love of this hallowed season (and podfic!), we hope that this event will grow in the years to come. It's a simple game of Trick or Treat! 

TRICK OR TREAT?

Make a request for a Halloween themed podfic! Each request must contain two options: Trick or Treat, which the person filling the prompt will choose from! 

• The content of your request is up to you! You could choose between two beloved tropes, fandoms, characters, tags, or anything of the sort, so long as you know you're going to be getting something spooky!
• You can be as detailed or as vague as you'd like in your request, but make sure it's something that you'd love to see in our Pod_O_Ween 2018 Collection, on Ao3!
• Once a request has been made, any number of people can choose to fill that prompt! If you have a fic in mind, or you simply love a good challenge, go for it! 
• All filled prompts must be uploaded to the Pod_O_Ween 2018 Collection by the 30th of October, to be revealed at the very last stroke of Halloween, on the 31st. 

GUIDELINES :

The most important guideline is to have fun! Make sure that you enjoy what you record. 

• Given that Halloween is a funky, frightening time, this opens the doors for all sorts of podfic! Dark, gritty, scary, spooky, kooky, crazy, bloody, gory, and even sexy! All podfic are accepted, but please also adhere to your request-ee's specifics as much as you can. Feel free to run with requests, but if you have any queries as to whether a person would like a certain fic, our golden rule is ASK ASK ASK!
• There is no set word count, minimum or maximum. Anything that you can achieve in the time would be Spooktacular, and we'd all love to hear it!
• You may fill as many prompts, and make as many prompts, as you would like!
• Cover art is NOT MANDATORY, however if you would like to provide cover art, please go ahead! We at Pod_O_Ween are happy to assist in any way with cover art as well, and will put up a request thread closer to the release date. If anyone would like to volunteer to help with cover art, we would love the help!
• We also have a sticker for those wishing to use cover art! Inspired by annapods and their lemon stickers, we have given little Podkin his own sticker! Link to download here!
• This is an INFORMAL event. There is no obligation to fill prompts, as this is purely for the fun of the season! As such, other than our collection deadline - there are no deadlines! We also understand that this is a rather short notice event, so please take your time and do not stress! That being said, we would love for everything to be filled! We will do our best to help podficcers and prompters as best we can. If you need any assistance finding fics, please do not hesitate to message us!
• Feel free to post your fic to Dreamwidth as well as Ao3, but we will also provide a masterlist post of all podfics here!
• If you aren't sure of how to make your request, we have provided a prompt request template below for your convenience.

When it comes to posting, all we ask is that you mention somewhere the challenge, what prompt it was filled for, and of course gift it to the giftee!
